Girlz SkillzUp – 4 Week Skill Development Program
Girlz Skillz Up is a high-energy, four-week skill development program designed for current members of Bayside who want to build strong basketball fundamentals while levelling up their game IQ. Across the program, players will work on core skills including ball handling, shooting technique, footwork, passing and defensive fundamentals, all taught in a fun, supportive and engaging environment.
Each session will also focus on developing basketball intelligence, helping players better understand spacing, decision-making, movement without the ball, and how to read the game at both ends of the court. Through game-based drills and small-sided play, athletes will learn how to apply their skills with confidence in real game situations.
Sessions are run by Coach Scotty, who brings energy, knowledge and a passion for helping young players grow in both skill and confidence.
Skillz Up is proudly sponsored by Archer Glass, whose support helps make this program possible for our junior athletes.
These sessions will run over 4 weeks at a cost of $75 and will be led by an experienced external coach who brings fresh drills, insights, and motivation.
Age group: U10 to U16s
Dates: each Wednesday 6-7pm starting Wednesday 26 August 2026 - ending on 16 September 2026

Terms and conditions
- Bayside Basketball Association Inc. – Skillz Up Event Terms & Conditions
1. General Principle
Participation fees for Skillz Up sessions are non-refundable once registration has been completed, except as outlined below.
Spaces are limited and event planning is based on confirmed numbers.
2. Medical or Injury Cancellations
a. A refund or credit may be considered if a participant cannot attend due to illness or injury.
b. Requests must be submitted in writing before the scheduled event and supported by one of the following:
Medical certificate
Letter from a doctor or allied health professional
Other reasonable written evidence
c. Approved refunds will be issued minus any administrative or processing fees already incurred.
3. Extenuating Circumstances
a. Requests based on other exceptional situations (e.g., family emergency) may be considered at the discretion of the Committee.
b. All such requests must be submitted in writing prior to, or within 7 days after, the event date.
c. Decisions and refund amounts are at the sole discretion of the Committee.
4. Event Changes or Cancellations
a. Bayside Basketball Association Inc. reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel the Skillz Up session due to factors beyond our control (e.g., venue issues, coach unavailability, health or safety concerns).
b. If the Association cancels the event, participants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future program.
5. Administration
a. All refund or credit requests must be made in writing to the Committee at [insert contact email].
b. Requests will be reviewed as soon as practical.
c. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
